Storytellers: SPECIAL Show
Friday, April 19, 2013 8-10p
$10 admission
Featuring Andrew Carpenter of Apollo Live & Kriss Mincey of American Idol

There’s this incredible open mic family in Baltimore that I’m apart of and in 10 days we’re bringing the show back for one time only. If you’re not familiar with “Storytellers” and the awesomeness that it is - taste a lil bit of what we have here….

This was an inpromptu performance by Marc Evans and myself. It was discussed earlier that evening to maybe have a “scatversation”. I’m not big on the zodiac jazz but this created a pretty nice response by the Scorpios in our audience.

I hope to see you there…

This was a performance done by Sarafina where she sang a soft ballad called “Scorpio”. I’m not big on the zodiac jazz but this created a pretty nice response by the Scorpios in our audience.

I hope to see you there…

So he went back to New York, formed Steve Reich and Musicians – who, in an early echo of events at the Bloc Festival, performed everywhere from art galleries to discos – humped furniture with Philip Glass and developed his phasing technique. He went to Ghana to study African drumming.

"You could get a cheap ticket if you went to some place in east London and got some ticket that said you were a Nigerian flight engineer," he frowns. "Do I look like a Nigerian flight engineer?" He came back with a case of malaria, and a renewed conviction that he was following the right path.

This is becoming quite the timeless rendition for Mr. Glasper.

Robert Glasper’s Enoch’s (Inaugural) Meditation: featuring snippets of Martin Luther King, Jr., President Re-Elect Barack Obama, and Dr. Cornel West.
